yes and no some people just get skin tags others do inherit them
Is the chance of getting more moles and skin tags linked to heredity?
I have skin tags and my mother and grandmother had them also. My dermatologist said to stop using a wash cloth when I shower. She said the tags are caused by friction, ie washcloths, clothing rubbing against the skin. I usually just get them cut off at the doctors. But I can't tell you if they occur due to heredity.
Reply:I would assume skin tags are hereditary, since they are a sensitivity to friction on skin. I never had any until I started shaving my pits.
