What can be done to prevent getting more freckles (if not moles too) on your skin?

Freckles are cool. Can i have some of yours?please.

What can be done to prevent getting more freckles (if not moles too) on your skin?
use the highest spf on yr face everyday i use olay spf 30 sensitive (eliminates sunscreen odor). stay away from the sun and dont get a tan.
Reply:Freckles and most moles are hereditary They will appear on the exact same location as where your father or mother had them.
Reply:feckles are caused by the sun in summer. if you dont want any more freckles just stay out of the sun. moles .... i have no idea
Reply:Use sunscreen daily, especially on your face. I have met a lot of people in their older years that have to visit the doctor frequently to get cancerous spots removed from their face and body, and they all were the beach and outdoor types in their younger days. Scary!
Reply:Before going out I'd start applying a uva/uvb sunscreen for thats it gentle enough for your face before going outdoors and if you use it before applying your make up and always be careful to avoid your eye lids so that you don't irritate them or burn them. I found this from general research, magazines, friends and doctors.
Reply:Sunscreen definately.
Reply:I Have random freckles, i have no idea where they came from. O_O
Reply:sunscreen that prevents UVA and UVB rays of the sun is best.. choose at least spf 30 with any of these ingredients -

1. avobenzone or parsol 1789 3% (not 2%)

2. mexoryl

3. zinc oxide

4. titanium oxide
Reply:First and foremost, a strong sunblock should be used at all times, not just in the summer. UV rays are the single most important factor in the production of freckles. Any remedy for freckles, then, must begin with this, no matter what else you do.

Treatment for Freckles Tips

1. Bleaching Creams use of hydroquinone and kojic acid are one of the beneficial treatment for freckles.

2. Cryosurgery: A light freeze with liquid nitrogen can be used to treat freckles.

3. Chemical peels are used to remove age spots, freckles, discoloration, wrinkles and fine lines.

4. Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL)-IPL is one of the newer forms of facial rejuvenation.

5. Tretinoin (vitamin A acid, Retin-A) also helps to make freckles lighter when applied over a period of time.

6. Freckle removal is easily achieved with lasers. The laser light is very effective and helps in eliminating freckles safely.

7. Carbon dioxide and Erbium:YAG lasers vaporise the surface skin thus removing the pigmented lesions.

8. Lactic acid will provide gentle peeling effect without irritating or drying your skin.

9. Wash your face with sour milk.

10. Lemon juice is a time proven freckle fighting remedy. It is not necessary to rub your skin with a piece of lemon.

11. Natural parsley juice (or parsley infusion) mixed with equal amounts of lemon juice, orange juice, and red currant juice under your favorite cream will help you keep your freckles invisible.

Moles:

Prepare a paste of baking soda and castor oil. Soak some gauze in this mixture and tape this gauze over the mole. Leave the gauze on overnight. This will possibly remove moles over time.

The real cure (and prevention) for the moles is to eat enough foods that contain potassium or take apple cider vinegar that contain potassium.

Take a small piece of garlic; place it over the mole, scraping the flat side of the garlic that touches the mole so the juice can get onto it. Keep this for the whole day and night. Within two to three days, the mole will disappear.

Rub some iodine on the mole at night for two three days. This is an effective remedy for the moles.

Take a piece of ripe (or raw) banana peel and apply the pulp side to the wart and cover with a band-aid. Remove it only when taking bath. Apply daily for many months. This is very effective home remedy for moles.

Open the stem of a dandelion and rub on the warts 2-3 times daily until the wart disappears in 3-4 weeks.

Chop one raw onion and cover with salt and leave overnight. Apply the juice to the warts 2-3 times daily until warts disappear.

Apply the juice of cauliflower on the moles daily until it falls.

Apply a drop of grapefruit seed extract to the moles and cover with a band-aid, 2-3 times daily. This is also very effective home remedy for moles and your moles will disappear in 3-4 weeks.

Rub a slice of fresh pineapple or raw potato peelings or radish 2-3 times daily on your mole.

Apply the milky juice exuding from the stems of figs and leaves.

Put the contents of one 100 I.U. of natural vitamin E capsule on a band-aid and cover the mole. Moles will disappear soon.

Apply vitamin E on the wart, crush a clove of raw garlic and place it on the wart, and cover it with an adhesive bandage.

Soak a small piece of cotton in aloe gel and tape over the wart. Add more gel every three hours. Change cotton daily. The mole should begin to lighten in a few days and in a few weeks may disappear.

Apply a drop of grape seed extract directly to the mole and cover with a Band-Aid; repeat twice daily. The mole will turn white and will disappear in about a week.

Apply milkweed juice to the mole.

A tea made from purple coneflower (Echinacea), burdock root or red clover may help in the prevention of moles.

Take some green (not fully ripe) black walnuts and make a few incisions in the outer shell; rub the juice on the moles. There may be a slight stinging sensation or the area may turn brown, but this is only temporary. This is a very effective remedy for moles and moles will disappear within a few days.

Simply apply the purest honey on your mole, keep applying it morning and night until the mole disappears.

Apply apple cider vinegar with a cotton ball and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with water and dry.

Dissolve an aspirin with a small drop of water and apply to the mole. Cover with a band-aid. Repeat twice daily.
Reply:Freckles are small tan spots of melanin on the skin of people with fair complexions. Make a smooth paste of oatmeal powder and yogurt, apply on the freckles and leave for 20 minutes and wash with cold water. Check out http://useinfo-freckles.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Skin mole?

if a skin mole is a different shape does that always spell out cancer? cause mines is a half a cm and my friend said it has to be big

Skin mole?
it does not have to be big. my friend was just diagnosed with skin cancer and her nose had a very small patch that was cancerous.she has since developed small little marks that are the beginning of cancer on arms and face.if you are concerned please go to doctor, stop sun bathing and you a sunscreen every day.I may lose my best friend because all she did was use a tanning bed every day .please be careful!
Reply:shape doesn't matter but if its really dark then u should get it checked for cancer...but if the doctor tells u its benign then good for u :]
Reply:if your moles change and are irregularly shaped you should get them checked out just to be safe.

good luck
Reply:Umm i have heard that but im not sure. I think sometimes it can be cancerous but not all the time. My brother just went to a doctor for a checkup and they saw and irregular shaped mole on his stomache and she said that he needed to immediatly get it checked out...so i think you should get it checked out soon just to be sure!
Reply:Go by the ABC's with moles. A- is the Asymmetry of the mole (if one half of the mole doesn't match the other) B- Border irregularity, if the edges are notched or blurred. C- Color if shades of brown or black are present....differences in color and finally! D- is the diameter of the mole , anything bigger than a pencil eraser you need keep an eye on it.

This is a good way to self diagnose and to know when to tell your doctor when something doesn't look right.

Can a skin mole be removed from face skin without any scars ?

a skin mole on the face skin of medium size

Can a skin mole be removed from face skin without any scars ?
I do not think so, scar will be there may be big or small.
Reply:ya it is possible with certain cosmetic treatments like laser therapy, though it is quite expensive.

you can consult any cosmetic surgeon.

i suggest you also look into the website for KAYA SKIN CLINIC
Reply:Generally NOT. But the laser treatment may be the answer.
Reply:Yes, it is possible in homoeopathy. The treatment is very simple and effective and far more cheaper than cosmetic surgery which everyone cannot afford. You can contact some good homoeopathic doctor in your area or log on for on-line help to:

http://www.drbatras.com
Reply:Those people who can physically and emotionally benefit from having their mole removed would be considered a good candidate for the procedure. However, people must remember that there are limitations to what cosmetic surgery can do. It is meant for improvement, not perfection and is important to have realistic goals and expectations about mole removal.

Before the mole is removed, the area is cleansed and then an anesthetic is applied to numb the area. The type of mole being removed determines what technique is used. Depending on the technique, stitches may or may not be used.

For excision of the mole, the surgeon uses a scalpel to cut the mole and a border of good skin surrounding it. The surgeon will determine the size of this border. Stitches are placed either deep within the skin, or on the upper surface, depending on the depth of the excision.

For the procedure that involves no stitches, a scalpel is used to shave the mole allowing it to be flush with the surrounding skin. Then using an electrical instrument, the doctor cauterizes the area to stop any bleeding. Topical antibiotic is applied to reduce risk of infection. Shaving removes the protruding surface of the mole, but it can leave mole cells beneath the skin and may grow back.

Mole removal typically takes less than an hour to perform, depending on the amount of moles to be removed.

Note: Laser treatment is another method of mole removal. While scarring is not an issue for this technique, it is important to know this is not a method used for treating deep moles because the laser does not penetrate deeply enough.

Please consult with your cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist as to which method will work best to meet your needs.

note:During shave excision of moles, some of the melanocytes are often left below the even cut surface of the removal site. Usually, these cells pose no cosmetic problem. Moles may, however, regrow at the excision site shortly after removal or years later. The mole cells below the cut surface of the removal site can also cause re-pigmentation of the removal site to a shade much darker than that of the removed mole. This re-pigmentation side effect is particularly problematic for patients with olive skin or dark eyes and hair. Mole regrowth and re-pigmentation occur more commonly in young patients and may result in the desire for re-removal.

Because of these limitations in shave excision of moles, excision of moles with the skin underlying them is sometimes recommended. This technique is often referred to as elliptical mole excision because the mole is usually removed in an ellipse of skin that allows for a flush closure without puckers. Elliptical excision may be recommended if there is a high suspicion of melanoma. It is also useful when the risk of mole regrowth, re-pigmentation or uneven skin contours with shave excision make it a better choice.

Elliptical excision is more time and resource intensive than shave excision. It entails more risk of bleeding and infection. Just as in shave excision, results with elliptical excision depend up on good surgical judgment and careful execution of the finer points of surgical technique. Elliptical excision invariably results in a linear surgical scar that can vary from virtually undetectable to more noticeable than the original mole. In younger patients, elliptical excisions often heal with wide and sometimes unsightly scars due to the tug of surrounding elastic skin.

Careful patient selection is a prerequisite for obtaining good mole removal results. Even when the patients are properly chosen, the results of cosmetic mole removal are very technique dependent. Good technique is the result of training, experience and skill.

I have freckles and moles all over. i worry about skin cancer, but don't want to seem paranoid....?

i want to get them looked at, but if i walk in and say i want 10 moles looked at will they think i'm crazy, and will they remove all of them to get looked at. anyone been through anything like this?????

I have freckles and moles all over. i worry about skin cancer, but don't want to seem paranoid....?
First of all, are any of the moles changing in size or color? Are they tender or hurt when you touch them? If so, run, don't walk, to a doctor. If the moles pretty much look like they have for years , then I would not panic yet. Ask the doctor or dermatologist to check them out. I don't think it costs much to have the moles looked at. They will look for atypical moles and either monitor those or remove and biopsy. It is the biopsies that cost, but wouldn't you rather pay a little bit now and possibly live a few years longer? Also, check your family history. If anyone in your family has a history of cancer, especially skin cancer, I would suggest a check up.

Also, I am ( well , was) a redhead with lots of freckles and moles. In addition, my father died of cancer at age 43. They have removed only 6 moles in all these years. All were benign except for one. One of the most important things I do is STAY out of the sun , and wear sunscreen a lot. Forget tanning, either by sun or in those tanning booths. I am 63 , so I have outlived my father by 20 years, and hope to live 20 more.

The following link has a better discussion of atypical moles.
Reply:No, they won't think you are crazy. This is the smart think to do. I have tons of moles and I have to get checked out from head to toe once a year. A dermatologist will know what to look for and unless something looks suspicious, it won't have to be removed. I had to have 2 removed out of over 100 and only one came back with atypical cells that they said would have been melanoma. They told me I dodged a bullet. Better safe than sorry. See you doc!
Reply:well if you have a mole bigger then a pencil eraser then its skin cancer. You get freckles from being in the sun too much. You should go to a dermatologist. They don't take moles off to see if its skin cancer they can keep the mole on you and check. But it might be best to take them all off.
Reply:You are not crazy or paranoid. It is a very sensible thing to have your moles looked at, especially if you have fair skin and have had a lot of sun exposure. Here is what you may want to do: rather than scheduling a doctor appointment just to look at the moles, have an overall physical and tell the doctor that you want to have your skin checked as part of that. Explain your concern. Believe me, they will not think you are crazy. And no, a doctor will not remove a mole to check it unless he or she thinks the mole looks suspicious. Good luck!
Reply:ive already had a quarter(.25) size chunck taken out of my back, when i go out i just make sure my back and shoulders are covered, ecspecially when i go down to the gulf, but i take it in moderation when im at the pool at home(3-5 times/year), and really i dont wear any sun block, though i should

If skin cancer starts with a mole, would it eb smart to remove all moles?

Not all the moles are cancer. If it grows, or gets more dark, has hair in it, or you get some liquid out of it without squizzing it, it may be a cancer mole. But the other moles, the ones that don´t follow this behaviour are not to be removed. You will never end removing them all! We have tons of moles.

The best thing to do with a weird looking mole is go to a Dermathologist and get it checked.

If skin cancer starts with a mole, would it eb smart to remove all moles?
Yes, any and all irregular blemishes should be looked at by your dermatologist and cauterized at his discretion.
Reply:No, only those that are unusual and suspicious. Most are harmless. The dr's can tell which ones should be removed.
Reply:You could, but you better have alot of money. Your insurance will only pay for those that are suspicious for cancerous changes.
Reply:Most moles aren't cancerous. Trying to remove them will hurt like mad, and will likely leave a lot of scarring.
Reply:This is best answered by your doctor. That said, try these links.

I got my doc to check out my moles (twice! I'm not really paranoid), they were fine but I decided to get them removed anyway. Wow! How much. I shelved that idea until I found the herbal mole and wart remover from The Wart %26amp; Mole Remover Co. Don't know where you are but this company is in the UK, they probably ship worldwide. It was well cheap compared to other methods I've seen and guess what - you get to do it yourself. Put on the paste, wait 20 mins, drum-role, mole has gone. It doesn't hurt either which is another good bit.

No scar, no pain. Just lurv that wart %26amp; mole remover from the company Wart %26amp; Mole Remover Co oh yes, it is made from herbs so no nasty chemicals.

How do I get rid of brown marks on my skin? They look like flat, small moles?

The freckle like marks are on my entire body. I notice that the skin itches and then a scaly top forms and a brown mark appears that lasts forever. I have been told that it is something to do with the capillaries but would like to know more. I haven't gotten any satisfaction from the doctors.

I have these little tiny moles, like pieces of skin that are on my neck, new ones appear? what are they!? help

Sound's like you have skin tags. I had a few removed this past summer. The treatment is quick, your doctor will use liquid nitrogen to freeze them off. It's not painless. Depending on where they are, depends on how long they stay irritated. When the doctor treats them, it will sting, the tag will turn white and hard (think freezer burn). A few day's later, you will notice the tag becoming purple. It takes about a week for the tag to finally fall off. Most tag's only need one treatment, but depending on the size, it could take 2.

My doctor told me that skin tags are caused by family genetics.

I have these little tiny moles, like pieces of skin that are on my neck, new ones appear? what are they!? help
these are called skin tags as we get older we get more .Have your doctor remove them it is painless.I have had many removed and have taken many off myself.I quess my pain threshold is stronger than some as it was painless for me.
Reply:Yes, they are called "tags". I have had them taken off my neck twice and they always come back (and I think they bring more with them). I understand they are also referred to as a virus.

How much does removing moles reduce chances of skin cancer?

Thanks for any information provided.

How much does removing moles reduce chances of skin cancer?
If the moles are actually cancerous it totally depends on how much time has passed. The earlier any cancer gets diagnosed the better the prognosis. Now if you mean just removing moles that are benign.... then thats just a roll of the dice as to whether they would ever turn cancerous.
Reply:idk! hell i didnt even kno it reduced da chances of canca! ur welcome
Reply:A mole may develop precancerous changes or may develop cancer. In both cases removing moles reduces the chances of getting skin cancer or widespread cancer reduces a lot. If you have moles from your birth get them removed immediately. To know about abcd of melanoma, click here-

How do moles grow on your skin and why?

I was born with the moles that I have. If you have moles that are changing, get them checked out as it can be a form of cancer. If caught early enough, having the mole removed is usually the only treatment needed.

How do moles grow on your skin and why?
I would love to know the answer to your question too! Great Question!! But sorry I have no idea how or why.

How do moles form on the skin? can you prevent them?

moles aren't bad all the time..they are just accumulations of a pigment called "melanin".you mightve noticed a couple right from when you were little well the pigment forms due to exposure to sun so as you grow they also might increase in number if you are exposed to the sun a lot.when you have to worry is when you start seeing a sudden increase in number and size for which you have to visit a dermatologist as soon as possible.

hope this helps

How do moles grow on your skin and why?

Why moles grow? Moles and pigmented lesions grow because of age and heredity or the person has changes in his or her body’s hormone levels. These three factors are interrelated to each other. As the person reached adolescence moles start to grow until the person reaches the age of 50. The number of moles could be between 20 or more and the more numbers you have the risk of melanoma increases. Moles appear in pregnant women and to those who are taking birth control pills. If your ancestors have moles, most likely you will also have moles in your body as well. You will also inherit the risk of having melanoma later in life.

Why moles grow? Moles grow because of the sun. When the skin is over exposed to the sun’s UV rays the moles will darken and new moles will start to grow. The sun can cause moles, freckles and other skin growths and other skin blemishes that can become unsightly and annoying. Moles grow when the person is not protecting his or her skin when going outdoors. The presence of moles in the skin can also be caused by frequent use of tanning beds.

Moles and freckles often grow on white-skinned people than people of color. This is obvious in people who are living close to the equator. While being exposed to the sun, new moles could grow anywhere in the body such as the face, torso, hands, legs, buttocks and of the back. These moles can also occur in the less exposed areas of the body such as the armpits, under the feet and genitals. These moles are generally benign and however when moles are triggered by some factors they changed. Moles can be evaluated using the rule as prescribed by the ABCD of moles standard.

Why moles grow? Most people have moles and some are unnoticed because the colors of the moles are close to the tone of the skin or even lighter. As mentioned these moles become darker once exposed to the UV rays of the sun. Moles should not be a concern but if the moles change and you see any alarming signs in an existing mole, then you have to schedule and appointment with your dermatologist to have these moles removed to avoid the risk of melanoma.

How do moles grow on your skin and why?
If you have moles that grow....it's definitely (skin) cancerous....have it checked by your doctor. Moles are like birth marks... they don't grow...if they grow bigger and bigger.... you are in trouble.

Reply:honest on your skin, wow we had 1 in our back garden the other day i wander whos it is, have you lost one? let me know
Reply:moles grow with age, something about hormones. some are harmless, others you should check out. i think the rule of thumb is, if it's not circular, go to the doctor. like if it's a half moon type of shape for example, it might be cancerous.

i never had moles before, but at 22, they're poppin up here and there. my father and grandfather had them, so 'm not that worried.

WHATEVER YOU DO, do not pull them off. hurts like hell, and won't stop bleedin for a while. i'm guessin moles are just an extra growth of skin.

How much will it cost to get an operation to take out a skin mole?

are skin moles also cancerous?

How much will it cost to get an operation to take out a skin mole?
a couple hundred dollars and yes they can be and i know from experience if you are in doubt act quickly
Reply:the doctor will tell you if the mole appears cancerous, most are not. and removal can be done in the doctor's office, it doesn't take major surgery or anything.
Reply:yes skin moles can be cancerous if there appear to be any changes such as coloring, hair growing out of the mole, the best option would be to enquire with your gp and go from there,as to costs involved,it depends entirely on public/private,employed/unemployed.
Reply:Treatment

If your doctor takes a tissue sample of the mole and finds it to be cancerous, the entire mole and a margin of normal tissue around it needs to be removed. Usually a mole that has been removed won't reappear. If it does, see your doctor promptly.

Treatment of most moles usually isn't necessary. For cosmetic reasons, a mole can be removed in several ways:

Shave excision. In this method, your doctor numbs the area around a mole and then uses a small blade to cut around and beneath the mole. This technique is often used for smaller moles and doesn't require sutures.

Punch biopsy. Your doctor may remove a mole with a small incision or punch biopsy technique, which uses a small cookie-cutter-like device.

Excisional surgery. In this method, your doctor cuts out the mole and a surrounding margin of healthy skin. Sutures are used to close the skin.

These procedures are usually performed in the office of your doctor or dermatologist and take only a short time. Cost is unknown.

How do I remove a skin mole at home without having to go to a doctor's?

I have 2 skin moles on my neck, they stick out a little bit and I am tired at looking at them. I want to know if anyone knows of anything I could do at home to get rid of them, quick and easy!

How do I remove a skin mole at home without having to go to a doctor's?
no they need to be removed by a doctor. ive had 26 surgeries to have mine removed (total of 13 moles but most needed more than one surgery to remove it all) they arent just the surface of ur skin they are in deeper layers so they need to be removed by a doctor. it is covered by insurance (usually is anyway i know all mine are) and the only thing i pay if the $15 co-pay which is due at the time of surgery. go to a professional..all ull do is get a scar and probably an infection by doing it urself!!
Reply:you should not attempt this yourself, I have seen some people tie cotton round them for them to come back bigger or to get infected, it needs to be done by your doctor because the roots need to be removed
Reply:no, and dont follow any advice you get about tying thread around them, cutting them, burning them, or using a wart treatment. youll get a massive infected scab and when it heals there will be a scar or he mole will grow back. no 'natural cream' will do anything. just get the doctor to remove it, its a really quick and easy procedure, it doesnt hurt or anything.
Reply:don't do it yourself, it could get infected... you need to go to a doctor or beautician, it's a very simple and almost painless procedure most of the time.
Reply:Gathina is probably talking about a skin tag, not a mole. Just wanted to say that. Also, listen to everyone and go to the doctor. If you cannot afford it , learn hwo to deal with your beautiful moles :)
Reply:My husband is kind of crazy and he does this all the time.

Have some styptic powder ready (it instantly clots blood, but it burns a bit at first...I've used it so I know this).

Wash the area very well.

If the mole is too small to grab with your fingers, use a pair of tweezers that you have dunked in rubbing alcohol to pull the mole away from your body. This will hurt a bit.

Take a pair of very small scissors (like cuticle scissors) that you have dipped in rubbing alcohol and snip right at the surface of your skin or the base of the mole.

Apply the styptic powder.

The styptic powder will turn black with contact with blood and form an instant "scab". You can wash it without any problem.

After a few days, the "scab" will start to come off. At this time start applying vitamin E oil to help minimize scarring.
Reply:Yikes! Don't do it by yourself. I'd definitely go to a doc.
Reply:That is such a terrible idea.

You deserve whatever happens to you if you cut your own mole off.
Reply:Tie a hair around it very tight. It should come off in a day or two. IT WORKS!!!!!!

This gives a good tan - but you have to use it every day for about a week to get a good build-up and have the color look good. At first it will look a bit orange, but keep using it regularly and you will get the color you want. I like it because it is a lotion first, with just a small amount of coloring. Thus, there is less to rub off on the clothes.

Good Luck!

Can i remove a skin mole on my face witout surgery; it is not cancerous.?

i have a couple of skin moles that the doctor said was non cancerous. i would like to know if i could find a home remedy or something over the counter.

Can i remove a skin mole on my face witout surgery; it is not cancerous.?
Try applying some vitamin E. The little caplets w/the liquid in them can be punctured and just squeeze a little bit on a q-tip and apply mole and base of mole. This works also with what they call skin tags.
Reply:Did not that doctor treat you? Ask him for a prescription and/or a procedure.
Reply:The melatonin-dense cells will recur soon if you remove it yourself, also margining can be complex, see your dermatologist.

How can i get rid of little red flat moles on my skin.looking for home remedies to try and get rid of them.?
Be very, very careful with moles. It would be best to have a dermatologist determine if one could be melanoma. This is a very deadly cancer, but one of the easiest to cure if caught in time. If you cut a cancerous mole, one cancer cell would be enough to enter the blood stream.

It appears that you know about the irregular edges and dark brown areas within a mole. The Australians were the first to notice a dramatic increase in melanomas due to being in the sun often. They have a saying when going into the sun. "Slip, slop, slap." Slip on a shirt, slop on the sunscreen, and slap on a hat.

Good Luck =)
Reply:1) in the days of old - my aunt would tie thread around the culprit to shut off the blood supply and it would simply fall off, no marks or problems however, to be safe - see a dermatologist. They can laser it in a manner of seconds - additionally, you may be laden with moles (some people are rich like that) and moles have a mind of their own - sometimes they lay dormant and nothing and then they start to soften and swell, and you might do more harm than good to yourself. Also, you don't know which ones could be (God forbid) cancerous - but don't take the chance,
Reply:You MUST see a professional! If you want a mole removed, that is fine, but each mole needs to be carefully looked at to make sure there is nothing suspect about it. You HAVE to take proper care of moles... they can be dangerous. And doctors safely, easily and effectively remove millions of them every day!!
Reply:you must go to a dermatologist and get it done...don't mess around with them, they can become infected and get worse than ever.........seriously
Reply:This might help!

Good luck

=)
Reply:Only a doctor should remove moles. Moles can turn cancerous and when a doctor removes them he sends them for testing. If you remove them yourself you could have skin cancer and not know it till it is to late.

Is there any truth to apple cider vinegar being good in removing moles from the skin?

If so, do you have to apply it directly on the mole, or to the whole area. And how many times daily/per week before it comes off?

oh no no no no noooooooooo! That isn't sanity for one, and the only way to get rid of a mole is to freeze it and then cut it off. No that doesn't mean go jump in the freezer and bring your scissors. that means get your booty to the doctor. And it doesn't hurt. The freezing cold might sting a little though

Can a skin mole be removed using bloodroot?

I have heard that a skin mole can be removed by using blood root paste. I am aware of several 'black salves' that contain blood root and zinc chloride. Zinc Chloride has not been easy to come by however, if one has the blood root herb , is there a way it can be prepared to safely remove skin moles?

Can a skin mole be removed using bloodroot?
I am not sure about that but I had 2 moles on my face that kept itching.... good size ones to. A plastic surgeon put me to sleep and there was no pain what so ever even afterwards. They are gone and you can't even tell they were there. # days ago I had 3 large sunspots removed from arms. The doctor froze them they swelled into big blisters and within 24 hrs they were gone. I would go have them removed because I look at it this way if its not suppose to be there then get it off!

What is the cause of moles on the skin?

Moles are actually an abnormal multiplication of the pigment cells of the skin. they are usually brown or black , but may sometimes be pink . they can be smooth or irregular, flat or rised and may even be hairy . they can be presented absolutuely anywhere on the body. moles begin to appear in childhood and continue to incease during adolescence. an average adult has between 13-20 moles spread over te body.

majority of the moles ae harmless . rarely , however, they become cancerous. for this reason any mole that apeear laterinlife or one which has a tendency to bleed needs to be shown to the doctor. ordinarly moles are best left alone unless one is causing problems or is really unsightly. removal , unless it is done carefully and by an expert , can leave behind ugly scars.

Why do we have moles on our skin?

What are they made up of and what is their purpose?

Why do we have moles on our skin?
there are many different kinds, some are caused by the sun, sunlight increases the melanin in the skin cell (which makes us tan) and some cells produce too much at the same point and the melanin clusters together to create a mole, either fading with time or become permanent. Hormones can cause it too (some pregnant women can suddenly develop brown spots, which do fade). It can also be hereditory, if your mum/dad have lots good chances are that your skin will be similar.

Which medicine is used to remove the moles on the skin?

There are many creams available in the market which are to be applied carefully to the localized mole. Any idea of a good medicine or cream?

Which medicine is used to remove the moles on the skin?
None that really works. I asked a friend who is a dermatologist if there is any cream/medication and she said no. You have to have a doctor remove it. Depending on how big the base is (how wide it is) you might have to have a stitch or two. If you have insurance they should cover it, but if you dont' have insurance it's not extreemly expensive. I dont' have any and I've had 2 removed It cost me about $200 for the doctor visit and everything included.
Reply:Surgery.
Reply:There's no medicine.

They're either cut out with a scalpel or burned out via LASER. Under local anaesthesia, of course.
Reply:Creams do not work, because a mole starts under the skin. It can only safely be removed by a doctor. The methods are listed below.
Reply:Check out this web site : www.no-moles.com. I bought their product Bio T, and it worked. It is a dark colored, all natural paste. It didn't hurt or burn, and completely removed the moles. You rough up the mole a little with an emery board, apply the paste, and cover with a bandaid to hold the paste in place.

I used it on my neck because my necklaces kept pulling across a couple of stand up moles and irritating them.

Just follow the directions and wait, don't pick at it ! The mole will dry up and fall off. Be advised that there will be a white scar afterward, but it will be smooth and even with the surrounding skin.
Reply:Liquid nitrogen or electric cautery. Chemical do not count as they seldom work.

Can picking at moles and other skin strutures really cause cancer?

No, however these kinds of things can become cancerous on their own. If you notice a change in anything like a mole or skin lesion you need to see a dermatologist.

Can picking at moles and other skin strutures really cause cancer?
Yes, I had what I thought was a pimple 4 years ago. It was never one. Nothing ever came out. Well after 4 years, I went to the doctors ( 1 month ago ) and it was basal cell cancer. I now have a hole in my face that looks like a gunshot wound. I do believe in continually squeezing a bump and trying to get something out of it DID cause it to become cancerous.
Reply:Look, just don't pick at your face. It aint pretty.

Reply:Here is some info on moles:

Moles are small dark marks on the skin. They are caused by cells in the skin that produce pigment (colour). Moles are usually brownish, although some may be darker or skin-coloured. Moles can be flat or raised, smooth or rough, and some have hair growing from them. Moles are usually circular or oval in shape with a smooth edge.

Some moles are present at birth. These are called Congenital Melanonaevi. However, most moles develop during the first 20 years of life (and sometimes into the 30s and 40s). They often develop if you spend a lot of time in the sun, and tend to appear on parts of the body that catch the most sunlight, such as your face.

Moles can start to look different over time and sometimes respond to hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy, adolescence and the menopause. Some even disappear over time or fall off, often without you realising.

Seborrhoeic Keratoses are moles that are common in older people who have spent a lot of time in the sun. The edge of the mole is quite faint and they’re usually raised from the surface of the skin. They vary in colour from skin colour to orange and black.

Most moles are normal and harmless, but in a few cases they can develop into melanoma, a type of skin cancer. Malignant melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer and is usually caused by short periods of strong sunlight such as on a two-week holiday.

Malignant melanoma can appear anywhere on the body. It may be a dark, fast-growing spot where there wasn’t already a mole, or a mole you already have that changes size, shape or colour, and bleeds, itches or reddens. For more information on melanoma, see the health encyclopaedia topic: cancer of the skin.

I read about this following a question on here regarding a Mole Removal herbal treatment. See reference below. This is where the above info came from. It certainly looks intriguing.

How are moles formed? Why do we have moles on our skin? What are they for?

A mole or melanocytic naevus is a small, dark spot on the skin. It can be subdermal made of melanin, or a pigmented growth on the skin, formed mostly of melanocytes. The high concentration of melanin is responsible for their dark color. They are a member of the family of skin lesions known as naevi.

Moles may either be present at birth or develop later in life.

Acquired moles are a form of benign neoplasm, while congenital moles are considered a minor malformation, or hamartoma. Moles are most often of no medical consequence, but since they are permanent, they may occasionally be removed for cosmetic or other reasons.

Moles are usually circular or oval and not very large. Most children are born with moles, and almost everyone has at least one or two moles on their bodies. Large amounts can be concentrated on the back, the chest and arms.

How does one develop moles on their skin? when i was young i used to count all the moles i had?

now that i am an adult and twenty something years later the same places i counted one i see four or more.

How does one develop moles on their skin? when i was young i used to count all the moles i had?
as you grow in years, moles naturally come out of the skin..the mole you had when you were 9 or 10 may be gone or half faded when you're 20..since moles are part of the skin just like freckels and other imperfections, they also grow bigger and some have hair on it...and because your body is experiencing constant change and development...

Reply:They are spreading, it's not moles, it's fungus.
Reply:Well get ready for more to develop. I didn't have any when I was twenty, now I have a face full. I went to a dermatologist and thought I could get rid of them, it was horrible. The doctor burned them off and I looked like I had been in a fire. "Guess What????'' THEY ALL CAME BACK!!!!!! I was told they were caused by a virus and that they are more common in Black people. I went to another doctor and then had them frozen off, that was just as painful, and guess what, THEY CAME BACK AGAIN!!!!!!! I will tell you I'm done with trying to get them removed. I love myself the way I'm, they make me unique, no one on this Earth has the face that I have and the same for you. You are great the way you are, leave your face alone....

What are moles caused by? (the moles on the skin)?

I really don't know.

What are moles caused by? (the moles on the skin)?
Hi MMMM

Here are some answers.

Cause

Moles are usually the result of a nutritional deficiency and they should be treated internally, as well as externally.

Potassium deficiency is the general cause.

1.General Information for Moles: The warts, moles and skin blemishes are helped externally and are often cleared up by using the white milk from dandelions and/or from milkweed. Applying castor oil or garlic oil to the area several times a day and taping a piece of gauze soaked with this oil over the wart during the night will aid in clearing the condition. The use of a clove of garlic cut in half (or mashed or grated) and kept over the wart all night until it is gone has aided many. Black walnut tincture and the following combination tincture have been used with such success that a number of people swear by them. The combination tinctures consists of blue vervain, black cohosh, blue cohosh, skullcap and lobelia herbs in equal parts, using 90 proof or stronger alcohol as a base.

2.More General Information for Moles: Use the mucusless diet and add plenty of raw carrots, kelp, dulse, or sea weed and onions to the diet.

3.Garlic for Moles: Here is a very successful routine for removal of these unwanted growths called moles, or warts. Take a button of garlic, slice or cut in two, and placed the cup area over a wart of mole. Tape it on, and as it dries out put a fresh piece. Many users have reported good results.

4.Potassium Deficiency for Moles: When cysts or tumors grow in places where they can be seen outside the body, often we react by having them cut out. This defeats healing by working on the effect instead of the cause. You can cut cysts out, tumors off, and burn warts off (which are also a potassium deficiency), or get rid of as many moles as you wish, but unless you go to the cause, they will grow back again, and you may end up with as many or more cysts, tumors, moles as before. Different signs of potassium deficiency will keep popping out on the body because the condition that needs correcting is on the inside. You have to go into the cause, Dr. Christopher always insisted, which is the way we have been eating.Potassium sources: There are several ways to receive your potassium. Dr. Bernard Jensen sells a potassium broth made from dehydrated vegetables. Dr. Bronner makes a similar, excellent product. You can also make your own potassium broth by simmering equal parts of red potatoes, celery, carrots, onions, and herbs to taste. Raw vegetable and fruit juices also flood the system with potassium.

Best of health to you

Some scientists suspect that overexposure to ultraviolet light (including excessive sunlight) may play a role in the formation of acquired moles, but more research is needed in this area.

Dysplastic nevi or atypical mole syndrome is a hereditary condition which causes the person to have a large quantity of moles (often 100 or more) with some of them larger than normal and/or atypical. This leads to a higher risk of melanoma, a serious skin cancer. A slight majority of melanomas do not form in an existing mole, but rather create a new growth on the skin. Nevertheless, those with dysplastic nevi are at a higher risk of even this type of melanoma. Such persons need to be checked regularly for any changes in their moles (and to note any new ones).
Reply:They are caused by melonin in your skin. Melonin is just a pigmentation in your skin that is usually brought out by sunlight. Im pretty sure its called Melonin.
Reply:Melanocytic naevus or moles are an abnormal collection of pigment cells present in the skin. These pigment cells are called melanocytes.

Most moles are simply the result of the pigment cells dividinga nd reproducing within the deeper layer of the skin. A few of these moles, called congenital melanonaevi, are usually present at birth. Some develop spontaneously or are though by exposure to sunlight and tend to appear on those areas of the skin that catch the most sunlight. Most moles disappear with age.

Reply:How And When Do Moles Form?

Moles can form at any age. Some are formed at birth and are called congenital. Early childhood is the time of formation of many new moles. Moles may form at the junction of epidermis and dermis or form only in the dermis. Depending on where they form, they appear to be different. Some moles may be flat while some may be raised. Moles also form in different colors- from light brown to dark blue. The color of mole will depend upon the density or concentration of pigment in it. Sun exposure may increase the formation of moles. Birth control pills and pregnancy may also play a role in mole formation. Both sun exposure and pregnancy may also darken the color of the mole. As we age, some moles become lighter in color and many times disappear in old age. Some moles develop hair growth. This hair growth troubles few people and they may resort to hair removal methods such as electrolysis and others.

yes. just follow the abc's of moles to tell the difference.

A-asymmetry (asymmetric is worse)

B-Border (irregular borders are bad)

C-Color (dark moles with more than 1 shade or color inside the mole is more suspicious)

D-Diameter (%26gt;6mm or bigger than the size of a pencil's eraser is concerning)

E-elevation (if a mole is elevated, it should be considered suspicious)

Are moles on your skin cancerous???
Yes, they can be. Most are not. But if you have a mole that has suddenly appeared or one that you've had suddenly changes (red, spots, spreads) then you need to see your doctor so they can test it.
Reply:some are - some are not - it's not that simple to tell - it's good to go to a dematoligis to get them checked out - from there you can monitor them and watch for colour and shape change, as well as for more moles that grow/develop - it's so important to watch them...the doctor will then remove any that cause him/her concern...
Reply:not all are. To be sure, check with a dermatologist - only they can really check and assure you
Reply:some are! and if you are conserned about it go get it checked out!
Reply:Moles you've been born with are not cancerous unless they've undergone changes. Keep an eye out for uneven borders, and odd colorations. If there is any crusting or growth of a mole that could be a warning sign as well.

Do moles on your skin grow back if a doctor cuts them off?
sometimes
Reply:I don't think so.
Reply:Not in the same place.
Reply:Not usually, because they're trained in how to get enough of it off so that it is unlikely to return.
Reply:sometimes they do.
Reply:Well - they CAN, there's a rare chance, but they normally don't.
Reply:not that I know of, i have never had that happen to me b4.
Reply:Nope.
Reply:i had one cut off three years ago.... did not grow back.
Reply:It can, it depends on the mole.
Reply:No. Generally, the doctor will cut the mole and the 'root' of it out. It usually takes a couple of stitches to clean up the wound.
Reply:nope, that's why you have them cut off
Reply:Sometimes. If it does, the doctor will have to cut deeper the second time around.
Reply:occasionally if he/she misses all of it.
Reply:Sometimes. There are other ways to get rid of them that don't leave scars. Ever heard of the duct tape solution? (guess)
Reply:I have never had one grow back once removed, when they remove them they cut down and around removing all traces of that mole. You will get moles on other places though still, just depends on the person and how moley they are.
Reply:I had a large one on my face and got it zapped with a lazer at a clinic. It was painless and an improvement--and it will never grow back.
Reply:yeah sometimes they do
Reply:If the base of the mole is not removed ; yes can grow back.

This is why is so important for the doctor that removes any mole to send to lab for tissue analysis.

Not only can screen for cancer, but also for complete removal.
Reply:No, the mole will not grow back if has been removed by a physician. However, keep in mind that there will be a scab and maybe a small bruise for quite sometime as your epidermis is healing. Bandaids work well here
Reply:Moles will continue to grow in most cases. What you have done was to make it smaller and less protruding on you skin.
Reply:Not normally. I've had some moles "cauterized" and now I have a few hairs that grow out of that area GROSS I know but what can I say. I have had a few others removed by being excised and they have never come back. If you do have one that comes back, you should get it looked at for sure by a doctor.
Reply:probably not.

How moles / warts on skin can be removed without using laser technique?

You can have it frozen off by a dermetologist with liquit nitrogen. I had it done, it was not painful at all. When she sprayed the stuff on it just felt like needles and pins is the best way I can describe it. It took a few weeks to fall off it is completely gone now. So I think getting it frozen off is the way to go, you do not have to deal with any needles, stiches, or cutting off of any thing.

How moles / warts on skin can be removed without using laser technique?
Freeze em off

Burn em off

Cut em off
Reply:Well if you wrap the area with banana skin for a couple days it will make it go away!

How can you tell if someone has skin cancer or just moles.?

My boy friend has things that look like moles, but what concerns us is where there located. There located inbetween his legs on his bekini area. Every so soften they bleed. He refuses to go see a doctor about them but yet we are concerned.

How can you tell if someone has skin cancer or just moles.?
you need to see the doctor. just in case. tell him its for his health
Reply:Symptoms of skin cancer

The colors of the tumors vary from brown or black to blue or orange.

The tumors are characterized by having ragged edges and uneven colors.

Off-shots, sores, crusts, and reddening may be seen in the area surrounding the mole.

The tumor may resemble a 'blood blister' under a nail.

The mole may itch.

Moles can be found anywhere on the body, but are typically located on the back, the shoulders, or the back of the legs.

How can we protect ourselves from cancerous moles? Society today has become more aware of the growing problem “skin cancer” defined as a malignant tumor that grows in the skin cells.

Remember though there are still these warning signs to look for

An existing mole changes in color or shape, or begins to bleed or ooze.

Sores that heal very slowly may appear on the mole.

Moles that have become unusually large.

'Blood blisters' especially under toenails, which are not the result of a blow.

The appearance of a new irregular mole (it is quite normal for people to develop new moles from time to time until they reach their 40s. There is no need to worry unless the color of the new mole is uneven, or its edges are ragged). If you are in any doubt, ask your GP to check.

Any unusual sore, lump or blemish lasting more than a few weeks.

Areas of skin that become scaly, itchy, tender or red, or areas that ooze, bleed or become crusty.
Reply:Really he should get that checked out. There is no way to tell just by looking.

Even pathologists, have to do chemical dyes to find if the tissue contains cancer cells.

He should really get motivated before it gets more aggressive, because it is entirely possible to kill him.
Reply:You can't be totally sure without a biopsy of the mole so if you're concerned, he should see the doctor.

There are some guidelines called the ABCD Rule that we can use as a general guide to determine whether a mole look suspicious:

A: Appearance (it should have a smooth, symetrical apperance, the color should be a shade of brown and remain the same through the entire mole)

B: Border (the mole should have a smooth, round border all the way around)

C: Color (the mole should be a shade of brown but may also be lighter or flesh-colored. The color should be the same throughout the entire mole

D: Diameter (it should not be larger than 1/4 of an inch, roughly the size of a pencil eraser)

If a mole bleeds for no reason it is best to have it looked at by a dermatologist.

Please help. how do you get rid of ugly skin tags and moles without surgery tried everything help?

I've had them frozen at the dermatologist but they have come back. I'm really frustrated but I don't think that they're going to stay away.

Please help. how do you get rid of ugly skin tags and moles without surgery tried everything help?
The only thing I know if a Doctor can freeze them off with a freeze gun. It only takes a few seconds and it scabs over and then its gone. Not too much pain.
Reply:my mom has the same things...nothing seems to help. shes actually went to the dermatologist and had them burn them off with the dry ice stuff but it doesnt work because they just come back. shes kind of given up on getting them to go away.
Reply:See a dermatologist. They'll use liquid nitrogen to freeze them and then they'll scab over and fall off. Works wonders.
Reply:skin tags usually don't need surgery, you can go to your dermatologist office and they will probably do it in the office if they are small, it's not hard... they just clip them after they inject a little bit of anesthesia into it.. no biggie it bleeds for like 5 seconds and you're good to go! :)
Reply:what do u mean by ugly skin?

ok if its fungus and **** and its on ur feet u might want to put hot water in clorox leave it like for 10 15 min then take a bath and rinse them off put vasiline and socks thats goona kick *** make sure u rinse them out good with water after that

but if its not i dunno
Reply:find a slug and rub it on the skin tag. i'm not sure how long

it takes because i didn't even realize the one i had on my

back was gone. my father in law who is 100% italian did

this and it disappeared , so my husband tried it on me.
Reply:PLEASE don't try to remove a mole without talking to a doctor. Moles are more serious business.

Also, do NOT use a regular wart remover to try to get rid of skin tags. There *IS* a product online that claims it gets rid of skin tags, but I have no experience with it. Here's its link.
Reply:Only way I could get rid of mine is to go to a dermatologist....he can do it in his office, it's a very minor procedure.
Reply:My dad just always burned them off. It will stink but it works. Also I had one a long time ago and accidentally shaved it off and it hasn't come back. Hope this helps.
Reply:Get checked for cancer! Moles can be a sign of skin cancer. Skin tags can be a sign of metabolic syndrome!
Reply:a derm does not do surgery to remove moles and tags. they are burned or cut off. It is virtually painless
Reply:The doctor can use a q-tip and nitrogen, they just fall off after about a week.
Reply:I am not an expert on natural remedies, but I read many books and articles about alternative health. Dr. Andrew Weil recommends an herb called Bloodroot. You apply it for several days and the moles / skin tags apparently fall off.

"One alternative to these procedures that I can suggest is using bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis), a small woodland herb that grows in the north central United States and Canada."

Reply:I have gotten rid of skin tags by just clipping them off with nail clippers. It hurts a little and there's a little blood, but I don't think it's much different from what a doctor would do. But it's would probably be a good idea to wash the clippers first and then make sure you put a band-aid over the wound.

I should add the ones I have clipped off were under my armpits. I don't know if I would do this with one on my face.
Reply:Skin tags may be snipped-off with cuticle scissors; however, leave those moles alone. Be sterile and be prepared to bleed because it hurts to cut through those unwanted tags. Or, you can pay a doctor to freeze them before he or she clips them.
Reply:I had quite a few on my neck....I think it was through perspiring when I lived abroad so I went to the GP and he zapped them off with a sort of gun. they went black and then fell off. Moles? I would go to a doctor for that but if it has a hair in it then leave it alone as it can become cancerous.
Reply:Tie it off with a string, it'll fall off without blood circulations
Reply:I recently had one on my leg that was really irritated and hurt to walk. I put a bandade on it to keep it from getting irritated and after a week with it on it was gone. It just fell right off. It was one of the sealing bandades that seals of water and air and i just left it their and it was gone. I have not seen this method anywhere and is painless and i had completely forgotten about the bandaid. Give it a shot!
Reply:Please don't mess with any moles and unlike a couple of your answers hairs in them are not a sign of cancer at all nor is having a mole in the first place. When a mole changes and becomes larger (not necessarily a problem if you are born with a large mole) or crusts, bleeds, irregular edging or goes balck then you should seek a Doctors advice immediately.

As for skin tags, I have used an electrolgy method in my salon for years and is extremely successful, they rarely come back if it's done correctly. It involves cauterising the tag to prevent the active blood supply so in a few days/week they dry up and drop off. It's a bit prickly but there is no blood and it's pretty quick. I personally wouldn't recommend snipping them of with scissors as they can bleed profusely expecially if they are bigger than a pin head.

Look for a local salon near you and see if they offer skin tag removal.

Btw, skin tags are usually caused by friction on skin which is why they are so often under arms, necklines, bra strap lines, on thighs and on the face they can appear where the rim of glasses sit.
Reply:hi you can get a peace of cotton and tie it round very tight ,it will stop the blood circulation and drop of in a couple of days
Reply:Skin tags can be removed at your beautician but with moles you have to go to your doctor and see if they need to be removed or not.
Reply:tea tree oil worked for me. I just rubbed some on every day! after about 2 weeks my skin tag had totally disappeared.
Reply:Skin tags can be tied with a piece of cotton really tight and a few days later they drop off, most doctor surgeries now remove moles without the need to go to hospital, its really painless and takes minutes.
Reply:tie coton onto skin tags knoted and cut off ends it will drop off.Moles can be removed by lazer or covered with camlfalge cream

Is it true that doctors are removing moles and skin tags in an attempt to boost their performance statistics?

I very much doubt it considering the amount of time you have to wait for a non-urgent removal!;

Is it true that doctors are removing moles and skin tags in an attempt to boost their performance statistics?
Sorry i don't know but if they are saves going to the beauty shop and having the tags removed!!!!
Reply:no no no no no no no no no no NO WAY
Reply:Nope! They won't do them 'just like that'. They refer you but you dont necessarily get an appointment quickly or get them done if you are seen. I had 3 moles removed recently, but privately. Paid £300.

Is the chance of getting more moles and skin tags linked to heredity?

yes and no some people just get skin tags others do inherit them

Is the chance of getting more moles and skin tags linked to heredity?
I have skin tags and my mother and grandmother had them also. My dermatologist said to stop using a wash cloth when I shower. She said the tags are caused by friction, ie washcloths, clothing rubbing against the skin. I usually just get them cut off at the doctors. But I can't tell you if they occur due to heredity.
Reply:I would assume skin tags are hereditary, since they are a sensitivity to friction on skin. I never had any until I started shaving my pits.

Anyone know of any “do-it-yourself” ways to remove flat moles from ones skin?

I have a few moles which I'm trying to remove, all of them flat, none of them much biger than the size of the eraser on a pencil. Not all of them are on my face. I found a few home remedies so far

One involves urine:

http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showt...

Another involves baking soda and castor oil:

http://www.healthboards.com/boards/archi...

Can anyone vouch for either of these methods or give me any advice?

Thanks in advance you guys!

Anyone know of any “do-it-yourself” ways to remove flat moles from ones skin?
do you really want to use your pee to remove something from your face?

i would go to a dermatologist...especially to make sure it isnt cancerous
Reply:its not a good idea to remove anything from your skin by yourself, unless it is a sticker or something that isnt actually attached to you. or you can remove hair. go to a dermatologist, it isnt extremely expensive if you have insurance and they will do it sanitarily for you. there wont be a scar. just please, dont use urine or baking soda and dont try to remove a piece of your skin at home. it just isnt a good idea.
Reply:OK I am bringing out the scare tactics, but I feel it necessary. DO NOT try to remove ANY moles by yourself. My husband just died of melanoma. Any moles should be examined by a doctor who then can deem whether or not they should be removed. This is serious business. DO NOT PLAY AROUND.

How soon after a really bad sunburn will cancerous moles be evident on the skin?

I’m 22 years old and this is my second really bad burn I’ve ever had, having received my first one when I was 19 (I never got burned as a child). I got this last one about five days ago, when I stupidly went “sunbathing.” I am also very light skinned, and burn easily. That being said, I seldom go out in the sun (and when I do, I’m usually well covered). Is it possible for me to have developed cancerous moles already, just one week after having gotten so badly burned?

How soon after a really bad sunburn will cancerous moles be evident on the skin?
It probably would take more than 1 or two sunburns and more than a few days, months, or weeks to have developed cancer. Although it can develop on anyone, whether you actually burn or not.

But a cancerous mole isn't just going to pop up and be "evident" a week after a burn...they will take a long time to develop, and really you should only be concerned if you notice that an existing mole has changed suddenly.

If it was cancerous, you might notice uneven edges (asymmetrical), the color may get dramatically darker, it may start to raise up and get bumpy whereas before it was flat...all of those can be signs. But also cancer can be in moles that don't show those signs. If you see one that concerns you, let your doctor know about it and they will be able to tell or give you a test.
Reply:moles don't always come by a sunburn==freckles do ==you only get cancer in a mole when it changes size and it gets crusty or leaks fluid
Reply:ANYONE can get skin cancer and it may take years to show up. Cover up when you are in the sun, especially if you are fair skinned. I don't want to tell of the friend I had who ended up with cancer on his lip!!!! It is an ugly story.
Reply:Cancerous moles don't just pop out after a sunburn, they take time to develop and generally develop from an exisitng mole. Just watch your moles for changes in shape or size. I highly doubt one to two sunburns in your life will give you cancer and it certainly won't happen immediately.

Skin tags and moles?

Why do i get them, the older i get the more i seem to get. What gives. I have alot of them removed by my dr. and i need to do it again, it is worse than before

Skin tags and moles?
Skin tags can spread...that is why you have to do it again. Atleast you are getting them removed...some people don't and it is not attractive at all.
Reply:They make these ultrasonic device now that you can stick in your grass that remove moles nicely. Those moles can really wreak havok in your lawn, holes everywhere.
Reply:OMG i have like so many moles it isnt even funny 25 on 1 arm! (about) but with moles u age slower!!
Reply:just apply lemon juice and honey

My dog has new moles on his skin and I was wondering what could that mean? Please help?!?

He is 5 years old and he use to have no moles, but they're all the same which is black and they've been appearing one by one over the years. They're mostly on his tummy.

Also, when we bought him as a puppy the owner said he was a toy poodle and she'd give us a pedigree or something. Only her house smelled bad and we didn't stick around to sign anything.

But he has grown kind of huskey and long with really short front legs. Can poodles look like that or is he maby a bichon( I think it's spelled that way). Thanks!

My dog has new moles on his skin and I was wondering what could that mean? Please help?!?
When it come to the moles as long as the bumps have smooth line it is nothing, if they seem to blend, grow rapidly, or bleed see a vet. As far as the breeder goes why the hell haven't you called the SPCA on the hello! puppy mill! and by the way I think you may have been scammed that is not a normal shaping for that breed
Reply:i have a poodle mix and she has some moles on her stomach. my boyfriend said it was nothing to worry about. i thought it was cancer but he said old dogs get that.
Reply:they might just be age spots. my dog is really old and she has those. she also has little bumps now. it's okay. :) as far as it being a poodle or a bichon... i'm not sure... sounds like it's a bichon.
Reply:it is probably geting old and is in the sun a lil to long
Reply:They probably just age spots, but you might want to check w/ your vet.
Reply:Don't worry my dog has a mole on her TOUNGE and the vet said it was just like a birthmark...on her tounge.
