I had a mole removed. It was found to be a Spitz nevi. What I read about it says that it is hard to distinguish between it and melanoma, which scared me. So the dermotologist wants to biopsy more skin around the site, just as a precaution. She said it is "not melanoma" so why would she want another biopsy? (maybe zero liability) Anyway, has anyone else had this?
Has anyone ever heard of a Spitz Nevi, it is a type of skin mole?
Here is a link..it is thought to be an autoimmune disease (your body is attacking itself)..
