I only have 1 mole on my body so I can't compare it with others, but I wanted to know if normal moles are supposed to be dark brown with a border that is a lighter brown?
Is my mole skin cancer?
be very careful of moles. a-b-c-d: danger signs: Asymetrical, Borders not smooth, Colors (more than one), and Diameter. i'd let a doctor check to be absolutly certain because skin cancer is very prevalent,,.,.,.
Reply:if it has always been that way then it is more than likely ok. if it has recently changed to look like that, then you should have it checked by a dermatologist.
Reply:idk u should go c a dermatologist and get a professional test done. all they do is take a picture. then they add a wierd blue light to it and you can tell if u have skin cancer or its just a normal mole. somthin along those lines.
=]
Reply:you should go see a dermatologist. i'm sure there is nothing wrong with your mole. but i'm sure you will feel much better if a doctor tells you that.
Reply:That definitely sounds like cancer. There are four signs, commonly called ABCDs of skin cancer. C is for Color Irregularities, and B is for border irregularites. You're two for four, doesn't look good. Get that looked at.
Reply:I have a cousin and she has a mole and the discription is similar she removed it about a week ago and the doctor said it was not cancorious but some can be so wacth out vist you doc

Which part of a Bloodroot plant contains the juice that, if aplyied to a skin mole, will burn it off?
They make a salve out of it however youy should be caustious. I found this info on it...................
On 13 Aug 2005, U.S. news media reported that Dan Raber (of Georgia, United States) came under felony investigation for dispensing bloodroot paste to women with breast cancer. It was reported that nine women developed disfiguring destruction of skin and underlying tissue. Reports also indicated that Lois March, M.D., who is a practicing physician in Cordele, Georgia, has also come under U.S. FDA investigation for her role in prescribing pain medication to Raber's disfigured customers while their use of bloodroot was ongoing 27 Aug 2005 reports: .

Hello i just want to know could you use skin lightner to reduce the apperence of a skin mole?
The more you mess around with your mole, the more likely it will mutate and become melanoma. If you want to be rid of it, have a dermatologist remove it and biopsy it just in case.

Please do not try this. Moles have long roots. The bleeding is the worse, go to a doctor.............
Is it okay to pull hairs from a skin mole?
Wouldn't advise it. Cut it.
Is it okay to pull hairs from a skin mole?
enjoying the feeling of pulling them out. =))
Reply:Ew. gross
Reply:Yes
Reply:i dont know!
Reply:Don't do it so often.
Reply:NO, NEVER DO THAT, IT COULD POSSIBLY BE CANCER, CALL YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR
Reply:you're a SICKO!
Reply:i dont have any moles, so i wouldnt know, but... i would suggest that you just cut it, incase plucking may harm ur skin and the mole
good luck :)
Reply:Be careful. The skin around the follicle in a mole is very susceptible to infection and mutation possibly resulting in cancer. If you have an unsightly hair; cut it, shave it close (careful) or use Nair.
Reply:Yes it is safe. Most women have moles and they do grow a hair or two. Just use clean tweezers and remove.
Reply:Its like pulling hairs out of anywhere else on your body - and I know moles have a tendency to have a single hair or hairs thicker, darker and longer than the rest of your body but if you do pull it out all exposed hair follicles have a tendency to become infected and you do not want to be scratching at a big, sore, reddish mole - pulling it out won't help the mole, it will just return to its normal state after appearing slightly gone - moles suck - and well I just use a scissor to cut the hair - Don't pull :) - The Hair does grow back - save yourself the pain, the itchiness, the irritation and the anguish - Moles also have a chance to become malignant (cancerous) if tampered with - and so just use a scissor to be safe and comfortable.
Reply:Don't think so.
Reply:It is fine. A mole is skin, and like skin has follicles. Hair grows from follicles..... it is fine to pull or tweeze them. The hair will probably grow back at sometime, but that's what hair does is grow.
Reply:It's okay...I do pull the hair from my granma's mole...it was filthy...lots of black head and hairs...ewww...yucks...
After I pull the hair and clean all the black heads there...the mole is cleaner now...I think you should care about your mole too...
Reply:No, it isn't. You need to get the mole checked to make sure it isn't cancer. Your doctor can tell you what you need to do to get rid of the hairs if it isn't cancer.

What is the standadrd procedure for removing a skin mole?
My dermatologist lasered a small one off the underside of my arm. It was a snap and took just a couple of seconds.
Reply:Moles are cut and warts are frozen.

When should you worry about a skin mole?
When it changes color and/or size, starts to itch or ooze.
When should you worry about a skin mole?
when it is two different shades or when it is miss shapen.(just had two removed from my back)
Reply:There are definite signs that a mole is suspicious and should be seen by a doctor. If you have a mole that is
Getting bigger
Changing shape, particularly getting an irregular edge
Changing colour - getting darker, becoming patchy or multi-shaded
Itching or painful
Bleeding or becoming crusty
Looks inflamed
you should go to the doctor straight away. Research suggest that moles with 3 or more different shades of brown or black are particularly likely to be melanoma.
Reply:Well, if you're simply asking the question it means it concerns you, which means you should have a dermatologist check it out. I just had a mole removed yesterday that had worried me for about a year, although the first dermatologist I saw in April said it looked ok to her. The whole process took about 5 minutes and was pretty much pain-free. My new dermatologist told me to NEVER hesitate to come in about stuff like that--it only takes a few minutes to remove and then you know for sure. I read somewhere that if it makes you look at it twice then it's something to have checked out. Plus if it is something at least you caught it early. Go have it checked out!
Reply:if you thank it cancer your Dr for skin look on at mole see what
Reply:The ones that stick off your face is contagious, if you touch them and touch another part of your face, you will cause another one to grow. The small flat ones are hereditary.
